Artifacts and artifact reduction in sonoelastography
2000 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings. An International Symposium (Cat. No.00CH37121), 2002A technique for reducing vibration artifacts encountered when using pure tone vibration in vibration amplitude sonoelastography is presented. Multi-tone signals were designed to synchronize with the pulse repetition frequency and packet size of the scanner.

Stone Artifacts: Cutting Artifacts
2007At the beginning, any sharp edge of a thin flake was considered sufficient for a good cutting edge. When the edge became dulled and chipped from use, the flake was discarded and another picked up either as found in nature or struck off from some suitable material.

Artifact Description/Artifact Evaluation
Proceedings of the 4th International Workshop on Practical Reproducible Evaluation of Computer Systems, 2020Several systems research conferences now incorporate an artifact description and artifact evaluation (AD/AE) process as part of the paper submission. Authors of accepted papers optionally submit a plethora of artifacts: documentation, links, tools, code, data, and scripts for independent validation of the claims in their paper.
