Application of Artificial Intelligence in Transportation Demand Management: Development and Implementation of E-sutra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Allowing traffic to grow to a level at which there is extensive and regular congestion is economically inefficient. Although the construction of additional roads can alleviate some of the effects of congestion, the benefits may be counterbalanced unless ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Injectable Bulking Agents for Urinary Incontinence after Radical Prostatectomy, Mimicking Local Recurrence: A Case Report

open access: yes대한영상의학회지, 2017
Periurethral bulking agent injection (or transurethral submucosal injection) is a comparatively less invasive procedure for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence in patients who develop incontinence after radical prostatectomy, and who are more ...

A simplified protocol for in vitro rearing of human body lice

open access: yesParasite, 2020
Human body lice (Pediculus humanus) are neglected ectoparasites and pathogen vectors. Difficulties in raising and maintaining colonies of body lice in a laboratory setting remain a barrier to fundamental studies of physiology and vector-pathogen ...

Proof of concept: Exposing the myth of urethral atrophy after artificial urinary sphincter via assessment of circumferential recovery after capsulotomy and intraoperative pressure profiling of the pressure regulating balloon [PDF]

open access: yesInvestigative and Clinical Urology, 2018
Purpose: Rate of continence after artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) placement appears to decline with time. After appropriate workup to exclude inadvertent device deactivation, development of urge or overflow incontinence, and fluid loss, many assume ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
