Humanized immune system animal models and their recent applications
In this review, we provide an updated and comprehensive overview of the current state of humanized immune system animal model research. We discuss the variety of techniques used to produce humanized mice with their respective strengths and weaknesses, and evaluate the advantages and limitations of these models, including issues with incomplete immune ...

Integral Sliding Mode Control with Dual-Hormone for an Artificial Pancreas
Low concentration of glucose, “hypoglycemia” is the most critical complication for type 1 diabetes patients, may lead to coma or death. For this purpose, a dual-hormonal control of glycaemia is required, using insulin to recover the period of ...

Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

Aim Fluorescence‐guided surgery enhances intraoperative visualization of anatomical structures. Nizaracianine is a near‐infrared fluorescent agent that is exclusively renally cleared in animal models. It enables real‐time ureteral imaging and identification, potentially reduces risk of injury and facilitates assessment before surgical closure.

Rat Islet pECM Hydrogel-Based Microencapsulation: A Protective Niche for Xenotransplantation
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is caused by autoimmune-mediated destruction of pancreatic β-cells, resulting in insulin deficiency. While islet transplantation presents a potential therapeutic approach, its clinical application is impeded by limited donor ...

Abstract Aim Chemotherapy is given for early‐stage breast cancer; however, some patients discontinue before completing all planned cycles. This study investigated the impact of early chemotherapy discontinuation on treatment outcomes. Methods This retrospective cohort study used a target trial emulation framework to conduct a causal analysis of the all‐
