Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

In this thesis we investigated the efficacy of real-life use of an artificial pancreas starting with use of these systems in a hotel setting and finally 24/7 long-term use at home. We investigated the accuracy of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems that act as input for the artificial pancreas or for use in combination with an insulin pump or ...

An AI‐powered, robot‐assisted framework automatically produces, images, and analyzes 3D tumor spheroids to evaluate drug efficacy. Integrated modules handle spheroid formation, live/dead staining, brightfield imaging, and automated image analysis, including spheroid segmentation, viability and metrics to assess the drug treatment efficacy. The workflow

GoCARB in the Context of an Artificial Pancreas [PDF]
Background: In an artificial pancreas (AP), the meals are either manually announced or detected and their size estimated from the blood glucose level. Both methods have limitations, which result in suboptimal postprandial glucose control. The GoCARB system is designed to provide the carbohydrate content of meals and is presented within the AP framework.
