Cold‐water corals (CWCs) are important species that provide habitat for other taxa but are sensitive to mechanical damage from bottom trawling. CWC conservation has been implemented in the form of marine protected areas (MPAs), but recovery from impact may be particularly slow in the deep‐sea environment; consequently, the use of restoration techniques

Data‐driven prediction of room‐temperature density for multicomponent silicate‐based glasses
Abstract Density is one of the most commonly measured or estimated material properties, especially for glasses and melts that are of significant interest to many fields, including metallurgy, geology, materials science, and sustainable cements. Here, three types of machine learning models (i.e., random forest [RF], artificial neural network [ANN], and ...

In most cases, the bridge columns are underwater, and there is a risk of corrosion. The columns of marine structures and docks also include such problems. In addition to the problem of environmental hazards, the bridge columns may fail due to design problems or increasing needs.

Present status and future directions: Hydraulic materials for endodontic use
Abstract Background Hydraulic materials are used in Endodontics due to their hydration characteristics namely the formation of calcium hydroxide when mixing with water and also because of their hydraulic properties. These materials are presented in various consistencies and delivery methods.

Nano‐Pozzolanic Reaction Empowering Sustainable Construction with Hydrogel
Nanoclay (NC) hydrogel can provide multifunctionality to building structures by chemically bonding to the surface of cement materials without the need for special adhesives or supports. This study shows that cement structures with attached NC hydrogel exhibit excellent thermal insulation effects and support successful plant growth.

Steps for producing aggregates from POC. ABSTRACT Amidst the dual challenges of aggregate scarcity and the environmental impact of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from cement production, this study investigates the viability of palm oil clinker (POC) as a sustainable aggregate in geopolymer concrete (GPC).
