Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

A Realm Potentially Ready to Be Touched. About Machinism of Proximities and Its Non-Defining Ab Aeterno Circulating Trasparency

open access: yesimg journal
This paper presents an experimental reflection on the immaterial field generated by proximity, interaction, and shared affective tension. Rather than developing a conventional academic argument, the text performs its own object of inquiry: the unstable ...

In Parallel

open access: yesInscriptions, 2021
The film 'In Parallel' begins with the drawing of a straight line and is an exploration of Euclid’s Elements, a geometry book written in c.300BC. Second only to the Bible, in the number of editions published on the invention of the printing press, it has

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

“Anatomy for Artists” [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1883
I AM quite unable to do as your correspondent “An Art Student” suggests, for the second edition of the above-named book has been just issued. I may add, however, that the reasons which led me deliberately to adopt the plan alluded to in regard to the illustrations of the bones still remain, in my opinion, sound, and I trust that the majority of my ...

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...
