Light‐Programmable Interfaces: From Molecular Photoswitching to Adaptive Membrane Separations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review advances an interface‐centered framework for light‐responsive membranes, linking molecular photoswitches (azobenzene (AZO), spiropyran (SP), diarylethene (DAE), donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASA), photoacid) to integration strategies in polymeric, porous, self‐assembled, and mixed‐matrix systems.

Photochemical Behaviour of Carbamates Structurally Related to Herbicides in Aqueous Media: Nucleophilic Solvent Trapping versus Radical Reactions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2014
Irradiation of N-aryl O-aryl carbamates has been carried out in H2O/CH3CN (1 : 1 v/v) solutions at λ>290 nm. When chlorine is on the N-aryl ring, halogen-substituted products are found.

Synthesis of 3-(4-(Benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)phenyl)-5-aryl-1,3,5-oxadiazinane-4-thiones and 1-(4-(Benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)phenyl)-5-methyl-3-aryl-1,3,5-triazinane-2-thiones

open access: yesSynOpen, 2018
In this investigation 4-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)benzenamine was reacted with aryl isothiocyanates to give 1-(4-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)phenyl)-3-aryl thioureas 2, which were cyclized with acid to afford 3-(4-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)phenyl)-5-aryl-1,3,5 ...

Nickel catalyzed one pot synthesis of biaryls under air at room temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A practical, room temperature catalytic system has been developed for the synthesis of biaryls in one step from the homocoupling of in situ generated Grignard reagents using the nickel(II) complex.

Structural Modulation of Charge Transfer in Donor–Acceptor Systems: Effects of Donor Type and Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A coherent phthalimide acceptor platform with planar (Cz—carbazole) and spiro‐type (SAF—spiroacridine fluorene) donors enables systematic tuning of donor geometry and coupling, driving the evolution of excited‐state topology from classical CT‐TADF and fluorescence/RTP to CT‐driven and LE‐assisted TADF with OLED efficiencies ≈ 36%.

Gut Mycobiota‐Associated Tryptophan Catabolites Protect Against Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Synthesis of 2H-azirine-2,2-dicarboxylic acids and their derivatives

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
Methods for the preparation of 3-aryl-2H-azirine-2,2-dicarboxylic acids and their amides, esters, and azides by FeCl2-catalyzed isomerization of 3-aryl-5-chloroisoxazole-4-carbonyl chlorides into 3-aryl-2H-azirine-2,2-dicarbonyl dichlorides followed by ...

Synthesis of aza-rocaglates via ESIPT-mediated (3+2) photocycloaddition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Synthesis of aza-rocaglates, nitrogen-containing analogues of the rocaglate natural products, is reported. The route features ESIPT-mediated (3+2) photocycloaddition of 1-alkyl-2-aryl-3-hydroxyquinolinones with the dipolarophile methyl cinnamate.

Halofuginone is a Molecular Glue Degrader of Integrin β4

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrin β4 overexpression is linked to aggressive tumors and poor prognosis, but targeted therapies are lacking. We identified halofuginone (HF) as a molecular glue degrader that promotes integrin β4 degradation via the CRL4BWDR18 E3 ligase. HF suppresses tumor progression in vitro and in vivo, offering a new strategy for targeting oncogenic ...

2,3,7,8‑Tetrachlorodibenzo‑p‑dioxin suppresses the growth of human liver cancer HepG2 cells in vitro: Involvement of cell signaling factors. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is transcriptionally active in the form of a heterodimer with the AHR nuclear translocator, which then binds to the xenobiotic responsive element.
