Toxic Mechanisms of Aryloxyphenoxypropionates in Target and Non-target Organisms
Herbicides are substances used to control unwanted plants-weeds. They can be classified into several classes by mechanism of action. This review describes the members of aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicides, their pharmacokinetic properties, metabolism and their mechanism of phytotoxicity in target weeds as well as in non-target organisms.

Discrimination of Potent Inhibitors of Toxoplasma gondii Enoyl-Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase by a Thermal Shift Assay [PDF]
Many microbial pathogens rely on a type II fatty acid synthesis (FASII) pathway that is distinct from the type I pathway found in humans. Enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (ENR) is an essential FASII pathway enzyme and the target of a number of ...

Understanding the Potential Utility of TamArkTM Grain Sorghum [PDF]
Herbicide-resistant crops have been commonly used in corn, cotton, and soybean since the 1990s to control numerous different grass and broadleaf weeds. However, this technology has not been available for grain sorghum producers whom have faced challenges

Impact of soil microorganisms on weed biology and ecology [PDF]
Quoique les populations de mauvaises herbes aient été traditionnellement réprimées par des méthodes chimiques et culturales, la lutte biologique par inondation du milieu avec des agents microbiens représente une stratégie supplémentaire de gestion des ...

Response of Aryloxyphenoxypropionate-Resistant Grain Sorghum to Quizalofop at Various Rates and Application Timings [PDF]
Conventional grain sorghum is highly susceptible to POST grass control herbicides. Development of aryloxyphenoxypropionate-resistant grain sorghum could provide additional opportunities for POST herbicide grass control in grain sorghum. Field experiments were conducted at Hays and Manhattan, KS, to determine the effect of quizalofop rate and crop ...
