Registry Cohort Study to Determine Risk for Multiple Sclerosis after Vaccination for Pandemic Influenza A(H1N1) with Arepanrix, Manitoba, Canada

open access: yesEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2018
To investigate a potential risk for multiple sclerosis (MS) after vaccination with Arepanrix, the GlaxoSmithKline AS03-adjuvanted influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 vaccine, we used the provincewide immunization registry for Manitoba, Canada, to match 341,347 ...

Rational Development of a Novel Emulgel Adjuvant for Single‐Shot Effective Vaccination: A Multivariate Analysis Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 33, August 21, 2025.
Using multivariate analysis, a novel emulgel adjuvant is developed by combining key nanoemulsion formulation variables–hydrogel trapping, small globule size, and mannide monooleate surfactant–achieving 10× greater immunogenicity than MF59 in mice after a single shot.

Risk of Narcolepsy Associated with Inactivated Adjuvanted (AS03) A/H1N1 (2009) Pandemic Influenza Vaccine in Quebec

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
An association between an adjuvanted (AS03) A/H1N1 pandemic vaccine and narcolepsy has been reported in Europe. To assess narcolepsy risk following administration of a similar vaccine in Quebec.Retrospective population-based study.Neurologists and lung specialists in the province were invited to report narcolepsy cases to a single reference centre ...

Graphings and Unimodularity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We extend the concept of the law of a finite graph to graphings, which are, in general, infinite graphs whose vertices are equipped with the structure of a probability space. By doing this, we obtain a vast array of new unimodular measures.

Combining Intramuscular and Intranasal Immunization With the MF59‐Adjuvanted Respiratory Syncytial Virus Pre‐Fusion Protein Subunit Vaccine Induces Potent Humoral and Cellular Immune Responses in Mice

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2025.
In our study, we formulated a protein‐based vaccine known as MF59/preF, which contains RSV pre‐fusion (preF) protein antigen in combination with an MF59‐like oil‐in‐water adjuvant. Three‐dose intramuscular (IM) administration of this vaccine induced robust humoral and cellular immunity against RSV F protein in systemic immune organs rather than at ...

Sustained Vaccine Exposure Elicits More Rapid, Consistent, and Broad Humoral Immune Responses to Multivalent Influenza Vaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 18, May 15, 2025.
This work presents an injectable polymer‐nanoparticle hydrogel depot platform for delivering multivalent influenza vaccines which induces stronger and more durable immune responses. The technology provides broader protection, including against heterologous and potential pandemic strains (H5N1, H7N9, H9N2), and enhances the effectiveness of commercial ...

Flexibility of interval between vaccinations with AS03A-adjuvanted influenza A (H1N1) 2009 vaccine in adults aged 18–60 and >60 years: a randomized trial

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2012
Background Flexibility of vaccination schedule and lower antigen content can facilitate pandemic vaccine coverage. We assessed the immune response and safety of AS03-adjuvanted A/California/7/2009 H1N1 pandemic vaccine containing half of the registered ...

Exploring the Role of Pattern Recognition Receptors as Immunostimulatory Molecules

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2025.
This mini‐review summarizes different classes of pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) and the role of their agonizts that have been identified and also outlines the role of PRR ligands as immunostimulatory molecules. Overall, the mini‐review has elaborated on the role of PRRs in the development of therapeutic vaccine adjuvants.

Expression and Immunogenicity Analysis of Recombinant Leptospira Interrogans Surface Protein LigA in Mouse Model

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 3, May 2025.
Implemented strategies in designing, production, purification and immunogenicity of the recombinant Leptospiral immunoglobulin‐like surface protein‐A (r‐Lig A) as a vaccine candidate. ABSTRACT Background Pathogenic strains of spirochetes of Leptospira spp. cause a globally distributed zoonotic disease called leptospirosis.
