No serological evidence of influenza A H1N1pdm09 virus infection as a contributing factor in childhood narcolepsy after Pandemrix vaccination campaign in Finland.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
BackgroundNarcolepsy cataplexy syndrome, characterised by excessive daytime sleepiness and cataplexy, is strongly associated with a genetic marker, human leukocyte antigen (HLA) DQB1*06:02.

Evaluating Bacillus Calmette–Guérin Polysaccharide Nucleic Acid as an Adjuvant for Influenza Vaccines in Mice

open access: yesInfluenza and Other Respiratory Viruses, Volume 19, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background To enhance influenza vaccine efficacy, it is essential to investigate new adjuvants that are both safe and effective. In a recent study utilizing a mouse model, Bacillus Calmette–Guérin polysaccharide nucleic acid (BCG‐PSN) emerged as a promising candidate vaccine adjuvant.

Syndrome decoding of Reed-Muller codes and tensor decomposition over finite fields

open access: yes, 2017
Reed-Muller codes are some of the oldest and most widely studied error-correcting codes, of interest for both their algebraic structure as well as their many algorithmic properties.

AS03 Adjuvanted AH1N1 Vaccine Associated with an Abrupt Increase in the Incidence of Childhood Narcolepsy in Finland

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder with strong genetic predisposition causing excessive daytime sleepiness and cataplexy. A sudden increase in childhood narcolepsy was observed in Finland soon after pandemic influenza epidemic and vaccination with ASO3-adjuvanted Pandemrix.

Superconductivity at 38 K in Iron-Based Compound with Platinum-Arsenide Layers Ca10(Pt4As8)(Fe2-xPtxAs2)5

open access: yes, 2011
We report superconductivity in novel iron-based compounds Ca10(PtnAs8)(Fe2-xPtxAs2)5 with n = 3 and 4. Both compounds crystallize in triclinic structures (space group P-1), in which Fe2As2 layers alternate with PtnAs8 spacer layers.

Nivat's conjecture holds for sums of two periodic configurations

open access: yes, 2017
Nivat's conjecture is a long-standing open combinatorial problem. It concerns two-dimensional configurations, that is, maps $\mathbb Z^2 \rightarrow \mathcal A$ where $\mathcal A$ is a finite set of symbols.

Correlation Decay in Random Decision Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider a decision network on an undirected graph in which each node corresponds to a decision variable, and each node and edge of the graph is associated with a reward function whose value depends only on the variables of the corresponding nodes ...
