Assembly and Functional Coordination of Two Families of Metabolic Organelles in Salmonella

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 2, February 2026.
Engineered Salmonella enterica co‐expressing native metabolosomes and synthetic carboxysomes formed hybrid bacterial microcompartments (BMCs) through shell protein exchange while maintaining cargo segregation, revealing the principles of BMC coexistence and modular assembly.

Measuring Trust: Experiments and Surveys in Contrast and Combination [PDF]

open access: yes
Trust is a concept that has attracted significant attention in economic theory and research within the last two decades: it has been applied in a number of contexts and has been investigated both as an explanatory and as a dependent variable.

No evidence of antigenic seniority in hemagglutinin specific antibody responses after adjuvanted pandemic 2009 influenza vaccination

open access: yesVaccine: X, 2019
Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. The pandemic outbreak of influenza A H1N1 in 2009 (H1N1pdm09) gave us a unique opportunity to study humoral immune responses to a novel influenza vaccine strain.

Durability and cross-reactivity of immune responses induced by a plant-based virus-like particle vaccine for COVID-19

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Here, the authors report results from a Phase 1 trial with an AS03-adjuvanted, plant-based virus-like particle displaying the spike protein of the ancestral SARS-CoV-2.

On homogeneous CR manifolds and their CR algebras

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper we show some results on homogeneous CR manifolds, proved by introducing their associated CR algebras. In particular, we give different notions of nondegeneracy (generalizing the usual notion for the Levi form) which correspond to ...

The scaling limit of uniform random plane maps, via the Ambj{\o}rn-Budd bijection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We prove that a uniform rooted plane map with n edges converges in distribution after a suitable normalization to the Brownian map for the Gromov-Hausdorff topology.

Incidence Rate of Otitis Externa Episodes in Atopic Dogs Is Reduced by a Therapeutic Diet in a 6‐Month Randomised, Blinded, Controlled, Clinical Trial

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 1, Page 89-102, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Recurrent otitis externa (OE) episodes commonly affect dogs with canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) despite ongoing cAD treatment. Objective To determine if a therapeutic diet with active ingredients targeting the skin barrier and allergy pathways reduces the incidence rate of OE.

Comparative efficacy and safety of vaccines to prevent seasonal influenza: A systematic review and network meta-analysis

open access: yesEClinicalMedicine, 2022
Summary: Background: Influenza is one of the most common respiratory viral infections worldwide. Numerous vaccines are used to prevent influenza. Their selection should be informed by the best available evidence.

Automatic sequences as good weights for ergodic theorems

open access: yes, 2018
We study correlation estimates of automatic sequences (that is, sequences computable by finite automata) with polynomial phases. As a consequence, we provide a new class of good weights for classical and polynomial ergodic theorems, not coming themselves

AS03-02 - Reactions and consequences following ECHR judgements in the Netherlands

open access: yesEuropean Psychiatry, 2012
In this contribution some recent reactions and consequences following ECHR judgments will be discussed. First of all, there was the case ‘Brand against the Dutch state’, concerning the TBS passers-term. The consequence of the ECHR judgment in this case was that some parts of prisons were designated to TBS wards.
