Durability Performance of Concrete with Fly Ash as Fine Aggregate Eroded by Chloride Salt

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2022
The aim of this study is to investigate the durability of concrete with fly ash as a fine aggregate (CFA) in chloride salt environments. The natural diffusion method is used to analyze the concrete strength, chloride ion concentration, and diffusion coefficient after chloride salt erosion in a laboratory environment.

Second‐Harmonic Hyper‐Mie Optical Activity Enables Closed‐Loop Chiral Photochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Nonlinear chiral photochemistry is demonstrated in CdTe/CdO nanohelices, where circularly polarized infrared light both drives and tracks photo‐oxidation via second‐harmonic scattering. This closed‐loop process reveals real‐time structural evolution, including shell fracturing and core exposure, accompanied by a transition from hyper‐Mie to hyper ...

Clinically Relevant Bleeding in Individuals With Cancer: Insights From a Nationwide Cohort Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cancer care is often complicated by coagulopathy leading to thrombosis and bleeding. While venous thromboembolism (VTE) has been extensively studied, bleeding remains an underestimated threat. To address this knowledge gap, we leveraged the Epic Cosmos database to determine the impact of cancer‐associated clinically relevant bleeding (CRB) in ...
