Religions, 2019 This essay explores the impacts of Italy’s socio-religious tendencies on the Shi’a rituals of Muḥarram and Ṣafar. Ethnography and semi-structured interviews were the main methods adopted for the performance of this research. The implications of commemorating the Karbala tragedy in Italy were studied from four viewpoints.

Development of a high-power KrF laser system, ASHURA
Laser and Particle Beams, 1989 The present status of the development of a high-power KrF laser system, Ashura, is described. The main amplifier has generated 710 J (95 ns) at the pumping density of 1·lMW/cm3 with the wall plug efficiency of 2·0%. Maximum power of 9·0 GW (200 J/22 ns) per beam has been obtained from the beam lines of six-time pulse multiplexing.

Focused beam control in super-ASHURA KrF laser system
Laser and Particle Beams, 1999 Beam smoothing techniques and focused beam profile control techniques for high efficiency KrF laser fusion are reported. We have developed 1D and 2D broadband random phase (BRP) irradiation techniques. Our next idea is the combination of a laser oscillator with a wide beam divergence angle and phase plates.
