Microbiome‐mediated plant‐soil feedbacks as a tool for resilient agriculture

open access: yesiMetaOmics, Volume 3, Issue 3, September 2026.
Translating plant‐soil feedbacks (PSFs) into reliable agricultural management requires shifting from input‐dependent practices toward endogenous, process‐driven crop resilience. To bridge this gap, we propose a predictive framework centered on three strategic interventions: engineering the crop holobiont, diversifying the soil habitat, and deploying ...

Electrical Routing of Dipole Decay Between Radiative and Nonradiative Channels via Graphene Plexcitons

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
An electrically tunable graphene–quantum‐dot spherical‐shell nanostructure controls the decay of a nearby dipole through plexcitonic coupling. Varying the graphene chemical potential shifts the upper and lower plexcitonic resonances across the emitter frequency and strongly modifies the local density of optical states.

“Taking Off the Rose‐Colored Glasses”: How Justice‐Centered Science Curricula Engages Prehealth Undergraduates' in Critical Consciousness

open access: yesScience Education, Volume 110, Issue 5, Page 1405-1423, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Health disparities rooted in systemic oppression and perpetuated by implicit bias among medical professionals remain pervasive across North America. These inequities are often sustained by providers' limited awareness of social realities that shape the lives of people from marginalized communities.

Re‐sequencing 142 rice genomes reveals the fine‐scale population structure and phylogenetic affinities of landraces of Kashmir Valley: Evidence from domestication and adaptive signatures

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract The emergence of rice (Oryza sativa) as a cultivated crop has represented a landmark in the history of agriculture in Kashmir Valley. Unlike winter cereals, such as wheat and barley, which exhibit clear West‐Asian origins, rice attained a different domestication trajectory linked to East‐Asian Neolithic cultures.
