Investigating the impact of causal attributions on anorexia nervosa stigma
Background Stigmatisation of eating disorders can have debilitating consequences for individuals experiencing such conditions, such as reduced help-seeking and physical and mental deterioration. Dispositional attribution of blame appears to be central to

Momentum spectroscopy of 1D phase fluctuations in Bose-Einstein condensates [PDF]
We measure the axial momentum distribution of Bose-Einstein condensates with an aspect ratio of 152 using Bragg spectroscopy. We observe the Lorentzian momentum distribution characteristic of one-dimensional phase fluctuations. The temperature dependence

ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

All optical cooling of $^{39}$K to Bose Einstein condensation
We report the all-optical production of Bose Einstein condensates (BEC) of $^{39}$K atoms. We directly load $3 \times 10^{7}$ atoms in a large volume optical dipole trap from gray molasses on the D1 transition.

Guided Quasicontinuous Atom Laser [PDF]
We report the first realization of a guided quasicontinuous atom laser by rf outcoupling a Bose-Einstein condensate from a hybrid optomagnetic trap into a horizontal atomic waveguide. This configuration allows us to cancel the acceleration due to gravity

Defining Roles in Pediatric Palliative Care: Perspectives From Oncology and Palliative Care Teams
ABSTRACT Background Early integration of pediatric palliative care (PPC) is associated with improved symptom management, quality of life, and healthcare utilization for children with cancer. Despite this, variation persists in how PPC is understood, operationalized, and integrated within pediatric oncology programs. In particular, ambiguity surrounding

Slenderness coefficient of five major tree species in the Hyrcanian forests of Iran [PDF]
Slenderness coefficient of trees, defined as the ratio of total height to diameter at breast height (DBH), is frequently used as resistance index of trees to wind throw.

Reference, Deixis and Perspective.Aspectual Readings of Italian Ecco- and French Voilà-Constructions
This paper provides an analysis of the aspectual properties of deictic-presentative constructions headed by It. ecco and Fr. voici/voilà. It will be shown that even though deictic pointing elements do not constitute verbs, they exhibit verb-like ...

Density modulations in an elongated Bose-Einstein condensate released from a disordered potential
We observe large density modulations in time-of-flight images of elongated Bose-Einstein condensates, initially confined in a harmonic trap and in the presence of weak disorder.
