Studies of Soil Fungi. Saturnomyces a New Genus of the Aspergillaceae

Canadian Journal of Botany, 1956
Saturnomyces is described as a new genus of the Aspergillaceae in which the ascospores are black but not opaque with three prominent longitudinal ridges. There is an inconspicuous imperfect stage of the Cephalosporium type having long slender phialides each with a small globoid head of viscid phialospores.

Cryptocolax -- A New Genus of Fungi (Aspergillaceae) From the Eocene of Oregon

American Journal of Botany, 1956
THE CLARNO FORMATION of Eocene age in northcentral Oregon contains a varied assortment of fossil plant remains. These include leaves (Chaney, 1948) and structurally preserved ferns (Arnold, 1952); fruits and seeds (Scott, 1954), and wood (Scott and Barghoorn, 1955).

Estudo taxonômico de um novo Aspergillaceae

Mycopathologia et Mycologia Applicata, 1957
Aspergillus fasciculatum n. sp. has been found as contaminant of Lab. cultures, on 30.10.1952 and again on 29.9.1954. It grows well in Czapek neutral agar, as well as in Malt agar and Potato-dextroseagar, less intensively in Corn steep agar.

Penicillium thailandense (Aspergillaceae, Eurotiales), a new species isolated from soil in northern Thailand

Phytotaxa, 2023
A new species of soil fungi, described herein as Penicillium thailandense, was isolated from soil samples of deciduous dipterocarp forest in Lamphun Province, Thailand. This species was identified by using combination of morphological characteristics and molecular analyses. Morphologically, P. thailandense is similar to P.

New insights into Aspergillus guangdongensis (Aspergillaceae) and its first global record since the original description

Phytotaxa, 2023
Aspergillus guangdongensis was included in the Aspergillus section Ochraceorosei. A notable feature of this section is that the majority of the described species are recognized only from the type strain. A. guangdongensis accommodates only a single strain, and the intraspecific variation within this species has not been realized. In investigating fungi

High frequency transfer of species specific mitochondrial DNA sequences between members of the aspergillaceae

Current Genetics, 1981
The mitochondrial genome of Aspergillus nidulans var. echinulatus is approximately 20% larger than that of the closely related species Aspergillus nidulans (Eidam) Winter. Restriction enzyme mapping and electron microscopy has revealed that the size difference is due to the presence of six inserted sequences in the former. With the exception of a small

Aspergillus Fuscicans (Aspergillaceae, Eurotiales), a New Species in Section Usti From Argentinean Semi-Arid Soil

Phytotaxa, 2018
Aspergillus fuscicans, a new species within Aspergillus section Usti from Argentinean semi-arid soil is introduced. Molecular, morphological and physiological studies were conducted, based on sequence analysis of partial β-tubulin and calmodulin sequence data. Aspergillus fuscicans formed a distinct, well-defined clade related to A.

[1st isolation of Aspergillaceae from dental granulomas].

Minerva stomatologica, 1989
Three Aspergillaceae have been isolated from a hundred or so dental granulomas. Their systematic position and morphology in optical microscopy have been fully examined as for the latest scientific opinion and in relation to histopathological studies.
