Resistance of Aspergillus fumigatus to Itraconazole
Scandinavian Journal of Infectious Diseases, 1998ment with the drug. The author concluded that the A. fumigatus strains acquired resistance to itraconazole during or following treatment. The author, however, failed to determine whether or not the isolates cultured from the sputa were genotypically identical. Although invasive infections by Aspergillus species are generally caused by a single genotype

The pathobiology of Aspergillus fumigatus
Trends in Microbiology, 2001Aspergillus fumigatus is the most prevalent airborne fungal pathogen in developed countries, and in immunocompromised patients causes a usually fatal invasive aspergillosis (IA). Understanding the pathobiology of this fungal species requires not only analysis of the putative fungal virulence factors that stimulate fungal growth and/or survival in the ...

Phospholipases ofAspergillus fumigatus
2014Phospholipases are a group of esterases that are composed of two major categories, the acyl hydrolases and the phosphodiesterases. Investigations on the phospholipases of Aspergillus species have been very limited to date. Indirect evidence for extracellular phospholipase activity was demonstrated in Aspergillus fumigatus by identifying the ...

Metabolites of Aspergillus fumigatus
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2012Aspergillus fumigatus, a type of endophytic fungi from Erthrophleum fordii, was fermented with GPY culture medium. Fermented liquid and mycelium were extracted from fermented products after freezing and thawing treatment. After alcohol extraction, mycelium was extracted with ethyl acetate and n-butyl alcohol, respectively.
