Aspergillus niger sulfhydryl oxidase
Biochemistry, 1987A procedure for the isolation of a sulfhydryl oxidase from an Aspergillus niger cell suspension involved three major steps and yielded enzyme preparations exhibiting a single but diffuse protein-containing zone when subjected to sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, with a subunit molecular weight estimated to be 53,000 ...

Biotransformation of artemisinin by Aspergillus niger
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2015Biotransformation of artemisinin (1) by Aspergillus niger was investigated. During 12 days at 28 °C and pH 6.0, A. niger transformed artemisinin into four products. They were identified as 3β-hydroxy-4,12-epoxy-1-deoxyartemisinin (2), artemisinin G (3), 3,13-epoxyartemisinin (4), and 4α-hydroxy-1-deoxyartemisinin (5). Products 2 and 4 are new compounds

Phosphoglucomutase activity in aspergillus niger
Archiv fr Mikrobiologie, 19631. Some of the properties of the phosphoglucomutase of Aspergillus niger have been studied in crude extracts of the mycelium. The results obtained have been compared with the data reported by previous workers for crude and for purified enzyme preparations from animal and plant sources and from yeast. 2.

CONTROL OF ASPERGILLUS NIGER IN HYACINTHS
Acta Horticulturae, 1997During the 2-5 years of cultivation of hyacinth bulbs there are many occasions for an infection by Aspergillus niger. The most important factors are cultivar, bulbsize, damage, temperature, relative humidity, multiplication method and disinfection. The time of grading (= damaging) has a big influence on the number and the type of infections.

Aspergillus Niger Infection of Exenterated Orbit
Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 2001To present two immunocompetent patients with Aspergillus niger infection of the exenterated orbit.Case reports. The patients were treated with oral itraconazole and socket irrigation with amphotericin B. The sockets cleared completely; no growth was observed on reculturing.A niger infection of an exenterated socket can be effectively treated with oral ...

Zinc Requirements of Aspergillus niger
Nature, 1951ZINC is indispensable for the growth of all the higher plants, fungi, Actinomycetes and bacteria which have been examined, yet little is known of the role of zinc in metabolism1,2. Evidence has been presented recently, however, that phosphatase of Penicillium chrysogenum, is a zinc-containing enzyme3.

Differentiation of the Polygalacturonases of Aspergillus niger
Nature, 1952IT has been long known that there is no close relationship between the physically and chemically measured action of polygalacturonase1. Jansen and MacDonnel2, Matus3, McColloch and Kertesz4, Reid5, Schubert6 and others have, from very different observations, suggested that the polygalacturonase preparations extracted from micro-organisms and plants ...

Biotransformation of quinazoline and phthalazine by Aspergillus niger
Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, 2011Cultures of Aspergillus niger NRRL-599 in fluid Sabouraud medium were grown with quinazoline and phthalazine for 7 days. Metabolites were purified by high-performance liquid chromatography and identified by mass spectrometry and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
