Boosting the Efficiency and Mechanical Stability of Organic Solar Cells Through a Polymer Acceptor by Reducing the Elastic Modulus

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, PYSe2F‐T is first applied to simultaneously improve the performance and mechanical stability of organic solar cells compared with mPh4F‐TS as the counterpart. Meanwhile, a detailed crack density analysis is first employed to evaluate the relationship between mechanical stability and elastic modulus of active layers, which can be reduced by the ...

Housing the homeless: How revisiting the 1940s assists the struggle

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, Volume 57, Issue 4, Page 798-811, December 2022., 2022
Abstract A major obstacle in the political work of housing the homeless is convincing voters and lawmakers that housing is a right and should be available to all without conditions. This paper seeks to assist that project by showing that the tension between rights and conditions has a history. It focusses on the pivotal 1940s, which saw the first major

Inert Copper Incorporation Enables the High Activity and Durability of NiW Electrocatalyst for Alkaline Hydrogen Oxidation Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Cu incorporation further refined the binding strength for intermediates (H* and OH*). Therefore, the resulting Cui‐NiW exhibited outstanding HOR activity, yielding a peak power density of 340 mW cm−2 in a noble metal‐free fuel cell. Moreover, the alloy demonstrated robust durability with only a 5.7% current drop after 10000 cycles.

Persistent discharge or edema after endoscopic sinus surgery in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis is associated with a type 1 or 3 endotype

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, Volume 13, Issue 1, Page 15-24, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Background Patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) may have persistence of polyps, discharge, or edema after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). Inflammation in CRS can be classified into three endotypes, with the presence of polyps associated with the type 2 endotype.

Layer‐by‐Layer Processed Pseudo‐Bilayer Heterojunctions Advance the Performance of Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Layer‐by‐layer processed pseudo‐bilayer heterojunctions offer flexible processing strategies, optimized morphology, enhanced efficiency and stability, and scaling potential for organic solar cells. Abstract Recent progress in organic (semiconductor) solar cells (OSCs) has led to power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) reaching 20%, with predictions that ...

Impact of index insurance on downside income risk: Evidence from northern Kenya

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
Abstract We assessed the impact of index‐based livestock insurance (IBLI) on household income and its higher‐order moments (i.e., variance and skewness). The study uses four waves of panel survey data from northern Kenya and applies a two stage least squares (2SLS) instrumental variables regression to estimate the causal impacts.
