Relationships between ergonomics and quality in assembly work
Applied Ergonomics, 1995Several studies indicate a relationship between ergonomic work conditions and the quality of the work. The purpose of this study was to evaluate relationships between a number of ergonomic conditions and product quality in car assembly. The most physically demanding tasks, the tasks with the most difficult parts to assemble, and the most ...

Methods to assemble sequence reads into larger pieces are described. In many cases, the raw data of sequencing machines are pictures, which are translated in a subsequent analysis step (base calling) into sequence reads. Each position of a sequence read receives a quality score, indicating the probability of a sequencing error.

Eukaryotic ribosome assembly, transport and quality control
Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, 2017Eukaryotic ribosome synthesis is a complex, energy-consuming process that takes place across the nucleolus, nucleoplasm and cytoplasm and requires more than 200 conserved assembly factors. Here, we discuss mechanisms by which the ribosome assembly and nucleocytoplasmic transport machineries collaborate to produce functional ribosomes. We also highlight

[Transcript assembly and quality assessment].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2016The transcript assembly is essential for transcriptome studies trom next-generation sequencing data. However, there are still many faults of algorithms in the present assemblers, which should be largely improved in the future. According to the requirement of reference genome or not, the transcript assembly could be classified into the genome-guided and

Influence of the Interactions of Components on the Quality of Assembly
Russian Engineering Research, 2019The basing of parts is analyzed. The contact relations between the surfaces of parts are found to play a basing role. That leads to redundant basing. If that redundancy is taken into account, many problems affecting the quality, precision, and performance of machines may be eliminated.
