2016 Assisted Reproductive Technology National Summary Report [PDF]

open access: yes
The data for this national report come from the 463 fertility clinics in operation in 2016 that provided and verified data on the outcomes of all ART cycles started in their clinics. Of the 263,577 ART cycles performed in 2016 at these reporting clinics,

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Health and development of children born after assisted reproductive technology and sub-fertility compared to naturally conceived children: data from a national study

open access: yes, 2014
In a non-matched case-control study using data from two large national cohort studies, we investigated whether indicators of child health and development up to 7 years of age differ between children conceived using assisted reproductive technology (ART),

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Live Birth Resulting from the Direct Warming and Direct Rehydration of Vitrified Human Blastocyst in Embryo Culture Medium: A Pilot Study

open access: yesFertility & Reproduction
Background: Frozen embryo transfer (FET) has been a routine assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedure since the first FET by slow freezing. It is estimated that more than 2 million FET cycles are performed worldwide each year. The stepwise removal
