Association Analysis with One Scan of Databases
2002 IEEE International Conference on Data Mining, 2002. Proceedings., 2003Mining frequent patterns with an FP-tree avoids costly candidate generation and repeatedly occurrence frequency checking against the support threshold. It therefore achieves better performance and efficiency than Apriori-like algorithms. However the database still needs to be scanned twice to get the FP-tree.

Association Analysis in a Variance Components Framework
Genetic Epidemiology, 2001Association analyses conducted in a variance components framework can include information from all available individuals but remain unbiased in the presence of familiality or linkage. Models that include both linkage and association parameters provide different estimates of the effect of a single locus and can be used to distinguish causal ...

Candidate Gene Association Analysis
2009Candidate gene association study is the most common method for associating human genetic variations with the phenotypes they produce, due to the relative simplicity of acquiring patient samples and genotype data. The study design begins with identifying appropriate DNA samples and an appropriate phenotype for analysis.

The undecidability of associativity and commutativity analysis
ACM Transactions on Programming Languages and Systems, 2002Associativity is required for the use of general scans and reductions in parallel languages. Some systems also require functions used with scans and reductions to be commutative. We prove the undecidability of both associativity and commutativity. Thus, it is impossible in general for a compiler to check for those conditions. We also prove the stronger

Visual post-analysis of association rules
Journal of Visual Languages & Computing, 2003Abstract Association rules (AR) represent a consolidated tool in data mining applications as they are able to discover regularities in large data sets. The information mined by the rules is very often difficult to exploit because of the presence of too many associations where to detect the really relevant logical implications.

Multivariate Analysis of HLA-Disease Associations
Biometrics, 1982A multivariate procedure is presented for the analysis of HLA-disease associations. This formulation explicitly accounts for the inner correlations of the HLA complex itself, both within loci (arising from the fact that multinomial allelic frequencies must sum to unity) and between loci (arising from a failure of independent assortment).

The analysis of association rules: Latent class analysis
Statistical Analysis and Data Mining: The ASA Data Science JournalAbstractAssociation rules are used to extract information from transactional databases with a collection of items also called “tokens” or “words.” The aim of association rule analysis is to indicate what and how items go with what items in a set of transactions called “documents.” This approach is used in the analysis of text records, of blogs in ...

The Analysis of Association Rules: Sensitivity Analysis
Applied Stochastic Models in Business and IndustryABSTRACTAssociation rules are extracting information from transactional databases of documents with a collection of items also called “tokens” or “words”. The approach is used in the analysis of text records, of social media and of consumer behaviour. We present an innovative sensitivity analysis of association rules (AR) measures of interest.
