Shape-Selective Recognition of Quaternary Ammonium Chloride Ion Pairs
Synthetic receptors that recognize ion pairs are potentially useful for many technical applications, but to date there has been little work on selective recognition of quaternary ammonium (Q+) ion pairs.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Effect of substituents on the stability of some lanthanum phenolate ion pairs.
The objects of the present work were, firstly, to investigate the effect of substituents on the stability of ion pairs of the La[3+]-ion with some phenolate anions, and, secondly, to test the applicability of the spectrophotometric method in determining ...

Valence‐Dependent Overscreening and Charging Pathways in Aqueous Electric Double Layers
Multivalent‐ion aqueous electrochemical systems often operate in strongly coupled regimes where classical mean‐field electric double‐layer descriptions become inadequate, yet a unified valence‐resolved microscopic picture of screening and charging ...

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Conventionally, the biodiesel (mixture of fatty acid methyl esters, FAME) production proceeds by transesterification of triglycerides with methanol accordingly by the formation of glycerol as a by-product, which cannot be included in biofuel composition.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
