Investigating the High-energy Radiation Environment of Planets in Sun-like Binary Systems
Far-ultraviolet (FUV) radiation is a driving source of photochemistry in planetary atmospheres. Proper interpretation of atmospheric observations requires a full understanding of the radiation environment that a planet is exposed to. Using the Suborbital

Using AI for Wave-front Estimation with the Rubin Observatory Active Optics System
The Vera C. Rubin Observatory will, over a period of 10 yr, repeatedly survey the southern sky. To ensure that images generated by Rubin meet the quality requirements for precision science, the observatory will use an active-optics system (AOS) to ...

Single‐particle‐level investigation using scanning tunneling spectroscopy reveals electronic structure and type‐I band alignment of individual CsPbBr3@FAPbBr3 core‐crown nanoplatelet. Crown passivation suppresses deep trap states by 47% and markedly improves electrical stability under repeated bias sweeps.

On-sky Demonstration of Subdiffraction-limited Astronomical Measurement Using a Photonic Lantern
Resolving fine details of astronomical objects provides critical insights into their underlying physical processes. This drives in part the desire to construct ever-larger telescopes and interferometer arrays and to observe at shorter wavelengths to ...

Mind and Cosmos as Throughput Systems: A Convergence Through the Throughput Model
ABSTRACT This paper advances a conceptual and mathematical foundations approach by applying the throughput model (TPM) to cosmic phenomena, reframing the universe as an extended information processing system. TPM's four stages, Perception, Information, Judgement and Decision Choice, are reformulated in explicit information‐theoretic and dynamical ...

Embedded Interactions and Selective Disclosure: Network Effects on Conversations aboard Skylab
How do absent others influence our interactions? We argue in this paper that interactions are embedded within networks formed by chains of specific relationships between known third parties. The anticipation of future interactions with external others conditions our interpretation of the current situation and affects our behavior in the interaction. We
