Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

The symmetry‐driven coexistence of altermagnetism and (anti)ferroelectricity in perovskites shows a strong dimensional dependence. Upon reducing the system from bulk to the two‐dimensional limit, only C‐type antiferromagnetic order retains ferroelectrically switchable altermagnetism, whereas A‐ and G‐type orders become conventional antiferromagnets ...

Plaid‐Like Spin Splitting and Chirality of Magnon Bands in Antiferromagnetic MnTe2
Helicity‐ and angle‐resolved Raman spectroscopy reveals chiral magnons in the non‐coplanar antiferromagnet MnTe 2. Combined with first‐principles calculations and spin‐wave theory, the results establish its altermagnetic character through circular Raman dichroism, reduced rotational symmetry, and a distinctive plaid‐like momentum‐space magnon spin ...

Wollheim, Wittgenstein, and Pictorial Representation: Seeing-as and Seeing-in
Pictorial representation is one of the core questions in aesthetics and philosophy of art. What is a picture? How do pictures represent things? This collection of specially commissioned chapters examines the influential thesis that the core of pictorial ...

Structural Colors from Modulated Topological Defects in Molecular Smectic Liquid Crystals
Rather than using dyes and pigments, nature produces the colors of some butterflies and beetles through optical interference phenomena. This study describes an original biomimetic strategy exploiting the spontaneous formation of modulated linear defects in thin films of 8CB, a common molecular liquid crystal.

Observations of the Hydroxyl Radical in C/2013 US10 (Catalina) at 18 cm Wavelength
The hydroxyl (OH) radical produced by photodissociation of water molecule is one of the most important indicators for cometary outgassing activity. The absorption lines of the OH radical at 1665 and 1667 MHz in the coma of comet C/2013 US10 Catalina were

Primary cultures of neuroblasts isolated from the nucleus basalis of Meynert of 12‐weeks‐old human foetuses were prepared. Whole‐cell patch‐clamp recordings were performed by injecting a depolarizing stimulus current (+500 pA; 500 ms), and the membrane voltage recorded; this stimulus current evoked periodic‐like oscillations in membrane voltage ...

Milankovitch Cyclicity and Stable Isotope Calibration in the Paleogene (invited)
Significant progress has been made over the last decade in the extension of astronomically calibrated geological time scales for the Neogene (Hilgen et al., 1999, Shackleton et al., 1999).
