Development of Astyanax bimaculatus (Linnaeus, 1758) juveniles at different stocking densities in net ponds

open access: yes, 2008

Lysine and methionine supplementation in diet of lambari (Astyanax bimaculatus) cultured in biofloc system and in clear water

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Animal and Environmental Research
This study evaluated the effects of amino acid supplementation on lambari (Astyanax bimaculatus) cultured in a biofloc technology (BFT) system and in clear water (RAS) using a factorial design. Over 45 days, fish were fed diets containing 34% crude protein (CP), supplemented with lysine and methionine (3% biomass).

Apparent digestibility for Zophobas morio meal in diets for juvenile yellowtail lambari, Astyanax bimaculatus (Linnaeus 1758)

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências
Abstract Aquaculture is essential for food security and the yellowtail lambari is of great importance in Brazilian fish farming. Zophobas morio meal has emerged as a sustainable protein alternative for fish diets. This study evaluated the apparent digestibility of larval, pupal and adult meal of Z. morio in diets for lambari.
