Asymmetrical current distribution in metallized film capacitors

Journal of Applied Physics, 2004
The presence of high frequency currents in the vicinity of metallized capacitors can generate eddy currents in the metallizations, with a possible negative impact on the reliability and lifetime of these components. These phenomena are due to the asymmetrical distribution of the field lines.

Mathematical Modeling of Hybrid Asymmetric Electrochemical Capacitors

Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 2014
Electrochemical capacitors may be ideal energy storage devices for applications ranging from renewable energy storage to transportation. Electrochemical capacitors are characterized by high power density and cycle life, and can be classified based on the properties of their electrodes.

Class DE Inverter with Asymmetric Shunt Capacitors

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2007
This paper presents a class DE inverter with asymmetric shunt capacitors. Generally the shunt capacitors of class DE inverter are equally given to the two switching devices. The input current from the dc power source flows into the upper shunt capacitor during the dead time.

Current - voltage characteristic of asymmetric ferroelectric capacitors

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1996
Real ferroelectric capacitors are usually asymmetric. In this paper, the current - voltage characteristic of asymmetric Pt/Pb(Zr,Ti)/Pt (Pt/PZT/Pt) thin film capacitors is studied quantitatively by using an asymmetric totally depleted back-to-back Schottky model as well as by experiment.

Asymmetric hybrid capacitor based on Co3O4 nanowire electrode

Ionics, 2020
In this work, Co3O4 nanowires grown on Ni foam have been synthesized through a facile hydrothermal approach, revealing large capacity of 310.4 C g−1 and superior cycling stability of 80.3% capacity retention after 6000 cycles. The asymmetric supercapacitors were fabricated based on Co3O4//AC device, which delivers an energy density of 0.4 mWh cm−3 at ...

Analysis of electrodes matching for asymmetric electrochemical capacitor

Journal of Power Sources, 2009
Abstract Asymmetric electrochemical capacitor was categorized into two types: a battery-type electrode|capacitor-type electrode capacitor and a capacitor-type electrode|capacitor-type electrode capacitor. When designing asymmetric electrochemical capacitor, the influences of both current density and the electrode's potential window were taken into ...

A novel electrodes collocation for asymmetric electrochemical capacitor

International Journal of Nanomanufacturing, 2014
The Li4Ti5O12 and LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 electrode materials are prepared by solid state reaction by one step. The structures and morphologies of the LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 and Li4Ti5O12 electrode materials are characterised by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
