Asymmetric hybrid capacitor based on Co3O4 nanowire electrode
Ionics, 2020In this work, Co3O4 nanowires grown on Ni foam have been synthesized through a facile hydrothermal approach, revealing large capacity of 310.4 C g−1 and superior cycling stability of 80.3% capacity retention after 6000 cycles. The asymmetric supercapacitors were fabricated based on Co3O4//AC device, which delivers an energy density of 0.4 mWh cm−3 at ...

Asymmetric electronic deformation in graphene molecular capacitors
International Journal of Quantum ChemistryAbstractAsymmetric deformation density analysis is applied on bilayer graphene flakes as molecular capacitors to identify the extent of asymmetric distribution of electrons and holes when exposed to bias voltage. Three triangular, orthorhombic, and hexagonal symmetries for graphene flakes are considered in two sizes and electric field potential is ...

Cu-doped NiO for aqueous asymmetric electrochemical capacitors
Ceramics International, 2014Abstract In this work, the influence of Cu doping on the electrochemical properties of NiO was investigated regarding its performance as electrodes in aqueous supercapacitors. NiO and Ni1−xCuxO (x=0.5–3%) cathode materials were synthesized via a citrate-gel process.

A New Asymmetric Switched-Capacitor Inverter for Photovoltaic Systems
2020 IEEE 9th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC2020-ECCE Asia), 2020This paper presents a new switched-capacitor multi-level inverter (SCMLI) for photovoltaic systems which can eliminate the leakage current. The traditional SCMLI suffer from the H-Bridge to obtain negative levels, which create variable common mode voltage (CMV) and so generates the leakage current.

Electrochemical capacitance of NiO/Ru0.35V0.65O2 asymmetric electrochemical capacitor
Journal of Power Sources, 2007Abstract A designed asymmetric hybrid electrochemical capacitor was presented where NiO and Ru0.35V0.65O2 as the positive and negative electrode, respectively, both stored charge through reversible faradic pseudocapacitive reactions of the anions (OH−) with electroactive materials.

High-Energy MnO2 Nanowire/Graphene and Graphene Asymmetric Electrochemical Capacitors
ACS Nano, 2010In order to achieve high energy and power densities, we developed a high-voltage asymmetric electrochemical capacitor (EC) based on graphene as negative electrode and a MnO(2) nanowire/graphene composite (MGC) as positive electrode in a neutral aqueous Na(2)SO(4) solution as electrolyte.
