Class DE Inverter with Asymmetric Shunt Capacitors
2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2007This paper presents a class DE inverter with asymmetric shunt capacitors. Generally the shunt capacitors of class DE inverter are equally given to the two switching devices. The input current from the dc power source flows into the upper shunt capacitor during the dead time.

Mathematical Modeling of Hybrid Asymmetric Electrochemical Capacitors
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 2014Electrochemical capacitors may be ideal energy storage devices for applications ranging from renewable energy storage to transportation. Electrochemical capacitors are characterized by high power density and cycle life, and can be classified based on the properties of their electrodes.

Journal of Power Sources, 2004
Abstract New concepts have arisen in recent years concerning configurations of the so-called hybrid charge-storage devices in which a faradaic, rechargeable battery-type electrode is combined with a non-faradaic, electrochemical, double-layer type of electrochemical capacitor electrode, the combination now being referred to as an “asymmetric” device.

Analysis of electrodes matching for asymmetric electrochemical capacitor
Journal of Power Sources, 2009Abstract Asymmetric electrochemical capacitor was categorized into two types: a battery-type electrode|capacitor-type electrode capacitor and a capacitor-type electrode|capacitor-type electrode capacitor. When designing asymmetric electrochemical capacitor, the influences of both current density and the electrode's potential window were taken into ...

A novel electrodes collocation for asymmetric electrochemical capacitor
International Journal of Nanomanufacturing, 2014The Li4Ti5O12 and LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 electrode materials are prepared by solid state reaction by one step. The structures and morphologies of the LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 and Li4Ti5O12 electrode materials are characterised by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Current - voltage characteristic of asymmetric ferroelectric capacitors
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1996Real ferroelectric capacitors are usually asymmetric. In this paper, the current - voltage characteristic of asymmetric Pt/Pb(Zr,Ti)/Pt (Pt/PZT/Pt) thin film capacitors is studied quantitatively by using an asymmetric totally depleted back-to-back Schottky model as well as by experiment.

Asymmetric Conduction and Stability of Polymer Tantalum Capacitors
ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, 2015Conduction asymmetry and DC leakage (DCL) current variations with time were investigated in Polymer Hermetically Sealed (PHS) Ta capacitors. The hermetic design facilitates the control of the atmosphere inside these Ta capacitors, in particular the amount of moisture, and maintains it during long-term testing.

2021 12th Power Electronics, Drive Systems, and Technologies Conference (PEDSTC), 2021
In this article, a novel Boost Fifteen-level Flying-Capacitor (BFFC) inverter is suggested. The proposed inverter employs eleven switches, four diodes, two capacitors, and three voltage sources to generate a boosted output voltage. The boosting characteristic of the proposed inverter is obtained by using the capacitors serried to the input voltage ...

An extendable asymmetric boost multi‐level inverter with self‐balanced capacitors
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2021AbstractThis paper proposes a basic asymmetric boost 35‐level inverter topology that can be extended to earn higher gains and levels. The proposed structure benefits from following advantages: extendibility, voltage boosting capability, natural voltage balancing of capacitors, low average voltage stress on semiconductors and large ratio of number of ...
