Ultrasound‐Actuated Gene Editing in Human Kidney Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peptide‐stabilized nanoemulsions enable spatially controlled, ultrasound‐triggered delivery of gene‐editing proteins deep within human kidney organoid tissues. Focused acoustic pulses drive droplet vaporization, propelling cargo into target renal cells while preserving native tissue microarchitecture. This non‐viral platform improves both the depth and

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

THE DYNAMICS OF THE DOW JONES SUKUK VOLATILITY: EVIDENCE FROM EGARCH MODEL [PDF]

open access: yesBusiness Excellence and Management, 2015
This paper aims to test the effect of asymmetric shocks on the volatility of the Dow Jones Sukuk. To this end, we applied the EGARCH model to give a clear idea of the effect of asymmetric shocks on the volatility of the sukuk.

Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Discriminator‐Guided Inverse Folding for Multi‐Property Protein Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Discriminator‐Guided Inverse Folding (DGIF) integrates multiple property predictors trained from single‐property datasets to guide protein sequence generation from a backbone structure. DGIF enables simultaneous improvement of thermostability and solubility without requiring multi‐property annotated datasets and generates designs that move toward the ...

Un-anticipated oil price shocks and fiscal austerity in OPEC+ nations

open access: yesFinancial Innovation
This study explores the extent to which OPEC+ nations have abandoned fiscal austerity in response to both anticipated and unexpected oil price fluctuations. To analyze this, we construct fiscal austerity indicators that reflect reduced budgets, increased

Intrinsically Mitochondria‐Targeting Nanozyme via Coordination‐Assembly of Natural Quercetin for Cascade Antioxidant Therapy of Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers that quercetin naturally targets mitochondria. By coordinating quercetin with Fe3+, we engineer an ultrasmall cascade nanozyme (MCN) with superoxide dismutase‐catalase activities. MCN crosses the damaged blood–brain barrier, scavenges mitochondrial ROS, prevents mitochondrial DNA leakage, and blocks the cGAS‐STING pathway, thereby ...

ROS‐Targeted Nanomotor Therapy in OA: Cartilage Protection and Pain Relief

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐responsive NM@MET nanomotors utilize elevated ROS in osteoarthritic joints to promote deep penetration into cartilage and synovium and enable sustained metformin release. By scavenging ROS, regulating NRF2/KEAP1 signaling, protecting chondrocytes, suppressing synovial inflammation, and attenuating nociceptive signaling, NM@MET alleviates pain and ...

When Superpowers Clash and Oil Markets Tremble: Implications for Global Clean Energy Market Performance

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics
This study extends asymmetric analysis by introducing an asymmetric wavelet quantile regression (AWQR) framework to examine how positive and negative changes in US–China tensions (UCTs) and oil prices (OPs) affect the global clean energy transition (GCET)
