Fluid Forces Control Structural Remodeling of Blind‐Ended Lymphatic Microvessels

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Using innovative microfluidic biofabrication with fluid mechanical insights, we recapitulated the blind‐ended microanatomy and physiological drainage properties of capillary lymphatics. Our results reveal the interrelationship between intra‐ and extraluminal regions of lymphatic vessels due to flow‐induced sprouting and morphological changes that ...

Spiro‐Phenothiazine Hole‐Transporting Materials: Unlocking Stability and Scalability in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...

A Load Model to Reduce Computational Effort in Real-Time Simulation of Asymmetrical Short Circuits

open access: yes2025 IEEE Kiel PowerTech
Transient analyses of electrical networks demand highly accurate models to represent component behavior precisely, thereby increasing the computational burden of simulations. This aspect becomes critical when conducting real-time simulations, such as Hardware-in-the-Loop, as the computational weight of the models can make some case studies unfeasible ...

Engineered Protein‐Based Ionic Conductors for Sustainable Energy Storage Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Rational incorporation of charged residues into an engineered, self‐assembling protein scaffold yields solid‐state protein films with outstanding ionic conductivity. Salt‐doping further enhances conductivity, an effect amplified in the engineered variants. These properties enable the material integration into an efficient supercapacitor.

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.
