Asymmetric Operation of Power Networks, State of the Art, Challenges, and Opportunities

open access: yesEnergies
The asymmetric operation is a method that allows High and Extra-High Voltage (HV, EHV) power lines to function with one or two phases open. With the increasing share of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in National Power Systems (NPS), they are becoming ...

Defect‐Driven Charge Separation in Ba‐Doped SrTiO3: Correlating Photoelectrochemical Performance With Dye‐Selective Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ba‐doped SrTiO3 perovskites establish a direct correlation between photoelectrochemical activity and photocatalytic performance. Optimized Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 exhibits enhanced charge separation, photocurrent generation, and visible‐light‐driven dye degradation through defect‐induced oxygen vacancies and lattice distortion.

Halogen Surface Terminations in Ti3C2 MXenes for Interface Engineering in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Controlled halogen surface terminations in Ti3C2${\rm Ti}_3{\rm C}_2$ MXenes enable the isolation of structure‐property relationships, revealing how –Cl and –Br terminations influence interlayer spacing, electronic behavior, and work function. When incorporated into IT‐4F‐based interfacial layers, these MXenes modulate interfacial processes and device ...
