Drug‐Free Thrombolysis Mediated by Physically Activated Micro/Nanoparticles
Overview of particle‐mediated thrombolytic effects (thermal, mechanical, and chemical) and their activating physical stimuli (light, ultrasound, and magnetic field) in drug‐free thrombolysis. ABSTRACT Thrombus‐associated disorders rank among the world's leading causes of death, with ischemic heart disease and stroke as the main contributors.

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Fault Tolerant CCS-MPC for Asymmetrical DTP-PMSM Drives Assisted by Fault Detection Algorithm
Fault tolerance is a highly desirable feature for safety-critical electric drive applications. This paper proposes an open-circuit fault tolerant model predictive controller (FT-MPC) for asymmetrical dual three-phase (DTP) permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drives, which is formulated using the continuous control set (CCS) approach.

Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.

Supporting transient stability in future highly distributed power systems [PDF]
Incorporating a substantial volume of microgeneration (consumer-led rather than centrally planed) within a system that is not designed for such a paradigm could lead to conflicts in the operating strategies of the new and existing centralised generation ...

Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

Juruá Orogeny: Brazil and Andean Countries
Seismic data from Petrobras (Brazilian state-owned petroleum company) show wide deformation and many reverse faults throughout the Solimões and Acre basins of northern Brazil. This deformation was observed for the first time in the Juruá River in 1976 in
