Optimisation of asymmetrical flow field flow fractionation for environmental nanoparticles separation

Journal of Chromatography A, 2008
The fractionation of natural nanoparticles by Asymmetrical Flow Field Flow Fractionation (As-Fl-FFF) was optimised by considering the following operating conditions: ionic strength, surfactant concentration and crossflow rate. The method performances such as fractionation recovery and fractionation efficiency were evaluated on a stable solution of ...

Miniaturized asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation: Application to biological vesicles

Journal of Separation Science, 2007
AbstractAsymmetrical flow field‐flow fractionation (AFlFFF) has been carried out in a miniaturized channel by reducing the channel dimensions. Performance of the miniaturized AFlFFF (mAFlFFF) channel was evaluated with standard proteins and polystyrene latex spheres from nanometer to micrometer size.

Field and flow programming in frit-inlet asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation

Journal of Chromatography A, 2002
The separation of wide molecular mass (Mr) ranges of macromolecules using frit inlet asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (FI-AFlFFF) has been improved by implementing a combination of field and flow programming. In this first implementation, field strength (governed by the cross flow-rate through the membrane-covered accumulation wall) is ...

Asymmetric Flow Field-Flow Fractionation in the Field of Nanomedicine

Analytical Chemistry, 2014
Asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation (AF4) is a widely used and versatile technique in the family of field-flow fractionations, indicated by a rapidly increasing number of publications. It represents a gentle separation and characterization method, where nonspecific interactions are reduced to a minimum, allows a broad separation range from several

Analysis of plant ribosomes with asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2013
Ribosome profiling is a technique used to separate ribosomal subunits, 80S ribosomes (monosomes), and polyribosomes (polysomes) from other RNA-protein complexes. It is traditionally performed in sucrose gradients. In this study, we used asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation (AsFlFFF) to characterize ribosome profiles of Nicotiana benthamiana plants.
