Asymptotic Analysis of Regular Sequences. [PDF]
Abstract In this article, q-regular sequences in the sense of Allouche and Shallit are analysed asymptotically. It is shown that the summatory function of a regular sequence can asymptotically be decomposed as a finite sum of periodic fluctuations multiplied by a scaling factor. Each of these terms corresponds to an eigenvalue of the sum of matrices of

Asymptotic Analysis of the MMРР|M|1 Retrial Queue with Negative Calls under the Heavy Load Condition [PDF]
In the paper, a single-server retrial queueing system with MMPP arrivals and an exponential law of the service time is studied. Unserviced calls go to an orbit and stay there during random time distributed exponentially, they access to the server ...

Effects of small boundary perturbation on the MHD duct flow [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the effects of small boundary perturbation on the laminar motion of a conducting fluid in a rectangular duct under applied transverse magnetic field.

Asymptotic Analysis of Hoppe Trees [PDF]
We introduce and analyze a random tree model associated to Hoppe's urn. The tree is built successively by adding nodes to the existing tree when starting with the single root node. In each step a node is added to the tree as a child of an existing node, where these parent nodes are chosen randomly with probabilities proportional to their weights.

Several studies have been conducted on scaling limits for Markov-modulated infinite-server queues. To the best of our knowledge, most of these studies adopt an approach to prove the convergence of the moment-generating function (or characteristic ...

Statistical Analysis of Multi-Relational Network Recovery
In this paper, we develop asymptotic theories for a class of latent variable models for large-scale multi-relational networks. In particular, we establish consistency results and asymptotic error bounds for the (penalized) maximum likelihood estimators ...

Modeling of Perforated Piezoelectric Plates
In this article, we are interested in the behavior of a three-dimensional model of periodic perforated piezoelectric plate, when the thickness h of the plate and the size ε of the holes are small.

Interface Models in Coupled Thermoelasticity
This work proposes new interface conditions between the layers of a three-dimensional composite structure in the framework of coupled thermoelasticity. More precisely, the mechanical behavior of two linear isotropic thermoelastic solids, bonded together ...
