Modular, Textile‐Based Soft Robotic Grippers for Agricultural Produce Handling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces textile‐based pneumatic grippers that transform simple textiles into robust bending actuators. Detailed experiments uncover how cut geometry and fabric selection shape performance. Successful handling of fragile agricultural items showcases the potential of textile robotics for safe, scalable automation in food processing and ...

Asymptotic Behavior of Global Solutions to the Boussinesq Equation in Multidimensions

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
The Cauchy problem for the Boussinesq equation in multidimensions is investigated. We prove the asymptotic behavior of the global solutions provided that the initial data are suitably small.

Asymptotic hereditary asphericity of metric spaces of asymptotic dimension 1

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 2010
\textit{T. Januszkiewicz} and \textit{J. Świątkowski} introduced the concept of asymptotic hereditary asphericity (AHA) [in Geom. Topol. 11, 727-758 (2007; Zbl 1188.20043)]. Using this property, they showed that there exist hyperbolic groups of arbitrary cohomological dimension containing no subgroups isomorphic to fundamental groups of closed ...

Factors Driving Battery and Solar Purchase Decision of Residents: a Behavioural Choice Experiment Using a Hybrid Discrete Choice and Latent Variable Model

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This article explores what drives households to adopt solar PV and battery systems in South East Queensland. Using hybrid discrete choice experiments, it reveals distinct adopter profiles and highlights cost, system size, and energy independence as key motivators.

Geometrical properties of systems with spiral trajectories in R^3

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
We study a class of second-order nonautonomous differential equations, and the corresponding planar and spatial systems, from the geometrical point of view.

OPTRACE: Optical Imaging–Guided Transplantation and Tracking of Cells in the Mouse Brain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
OPTRACE establishes an optical, two‐step platform for intracerebral cell therapy. Transparent glass pipettes enable real‐time, image‐guided delivery, while multiplex genetic labeling with two‐photon and bioluminescence readouts supports longitudinal single‐cell tracking and host–graft dynamics.

Wave‐Partition‐Governed Dual‐Site Spallation in Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Crystalline anisotropy shapes shock‐wave propagation and the resulting damage evolution in single crystals. Large‐scale molecular dynamics and damage modeling uncover a dual‐spallation mechanism driven by anisotropic elasticplastic wave separation, which mitigates damage accumulation.

Asymptotic behavior of solutions to a class of coupled nonlinear parabolic systems

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2019
This paper studies the Cauchy problem to a class of coupled nonlinear parabolic systems and investigates the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the problem.

Mathematical Prediction for Geometry‐Mediated Cell 3D In‐Growth on Bone Tissue Engineering Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a fundamental pore size dependent pattern of three dimensional bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) infiltration within porous scaffolds, where small pores promote horizontal cellular bridging and large pores facilitate vertical migration.
