The performance analysis of amplitude suppression of sinusoidal hindrances

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2015
The problem of the performance analysis of non-Gaussian amplitude suppression with distribution of envelope is considered. The asymptotic values of the characteristics are investigated.

Sequential risk-efficient estimation of the parameter in the uniform density

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2000
We develop a risk-efficient sequential procedure for estimating the parameter θ of the uniform density on (0,θ). We give explicit expressions for the distribution of the stopping time and derive its expectation and variance.

All‐in‐One Underwater Quality Evaluation Metamaterial With Mechanical Robustness, Sound Attenuation, and Diffuse Reflection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, a bioinspired all‐in‐one underwater quality evaluation metamaterial, combining sound attenuation, diffuse reflection, and mechanical robustness, is proposed based on jumping spider locomotion and human skeletal biomechanics. Meanwhile, a CNN‑driven quality evaluation framework is established for theoretically dimension‐reduced ...

Direct Determination of Smoothing Parameter for Penalized Spline Regression

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2014
Penalized spline estimator is one of the useful smoothing methods. To construct the estimator, having goodness of fit and smoothness, the smoothing parameter should be appropriately selected. The purpose of this paper is to select the smoothing parameter

Robustness Property of Robust-BD Wald-Type Test for Varying-Dimensional General Linear Models

open access: yesEntropy, 2018
An important issue for robust inference is to examine the stability of the asymptotic level and power of the test statistic in the presence of contaminated data.

Asymptotic efficiency of restart and checkpointing

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
Many tasks are subject to failure before completion. Two of the most common failure recovery strategies are restart and checkpointing. Under restart, once a failure occurs, it is restarted from the beginning. Under checkpointing, the task is resumed from the preceding checkpoint after the failure.

Decoupling Intrinsic Molecular Efficacy From Platform Effects: An Interpretable Machine Learning Framework for Unbiased Perovskite Passivator Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes an interpretable machine learning framework that disentangles the intrinsic molecular efficacy of passivators from experimental platform effects—enabling unbiased, high‐throughput discovery of effective perovskite surface modifiers.

MLEce: Statistical inference for asymptotically efficient closed-form estimators in R

open access: yesSoftwareX
Maximum likelihood estimation is a classical method with useful properties like efficiency, consistency, and asymptotic normality. However, the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) cannot be in closed form in many distributions.

Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. The analysis reveals how late‐stage transport control emerges

Equivalence of the Higher-order Asymptotic Efficiency of k-step and Extremum Statistics [PDF]

open access: yes
It is well known that a one-step scoring estimator that starts from any N^{1/2}-consistent estimator has the same first-order asymptotic efficiency as the maximum likelihood estimator.
