Chiral magnetic skyrmions across length scales
The profile, radius, and energy of chiral skyrmions, found in magnetic materials with the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction and easy-axis anisotropy perpendicular to the film, have been previously calculated in the asymptotic limits of small and ...

Asymptotic energy profile of a wave packet in disordered chains [PDF]
We investigate the long time behavior of a wavepacket initially localized at a single site $n_0$ in translationally invariant harmonic and anharmonic chains with random interactions. In the harmonic case, the energy profile $ \bar{< e_n(t)>}$ averaged on time and disorder decays for large $|n-n_0|$ as a power law $\bar{< e_n(t)>}\approx C|n-

Nonlinear wave effects at the non-reflecting beach [PDF]
Nonlinear effects at the bottom profile of convex shape (non-reflecting beach) are studied using asymptotic approach (nonlinear WKB approximation) and direct perturbation theory. In the asymptotic approach the nonlinearity leads to the generation of high-

ASYMPTOTIC PROFILES FOR A TRAVELING FRONT SOLUTION OF A BIOLOGICAL EQUATION [PDF]
We are interested in the existence of depolarization waves in the human brain. These waves propagate in the grey matter and are absorbed in the white matter. We consider a two-dimensional model ut = Δ u + f(u)𝟙|y|≤R − αu𝟙|y|>R, with f a bistable nonlinearity taking effect only on the domain ℝ × [−R, R], which represents the grey matter layer.

This paper focuses on studying a random effects semiparametric regression model (RESPRM) with separable space-time filters. The model cannot only capture the linearity and nonlinearity existing in a space-time dataset, but also avoid the inefficient ...

In this paper, we consider the initial value problem for the linearized compressible Navier–Stokes–Korteweg system. Asymptotic profiles and convergence rates are established by Fourier splitting frequency technique.

Asymptotic profiles for a wave equation with parameter‐dependent logarithmic damping [PDF]
We study a nonlocal wave equation with logarithmic damping, which is rather weak in the low‐frequency zone as compared with frequently studied strong damping case. We consider the Cauchy problem for this model in Rn, and we study the asymptotic profile and optimal estimates of the solutions and the total energy as t → ∞ in L2 sense.

Comparative Study of Plane Poiseuille Flow of Non-isothermal Couple Stress Fluid of Reynold Viscosity Model using Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method and New Iterative Method [PDF]
In this paper, we have explored the steady Poiseuille flow of couple stress fluid between two parallel plates under the influence of non-isothermal effects of Reynold viscosity model, using Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method (OHAM) and New Iterative ...
