Regularity and reduction to a Hamilton-Jacobi equation for a MHD Eyring-Powell fluid
The flow under an Eyring-Powell description has attracted interest to model different scenarios related with non-Newtonian fluids. The goal of the present study is to provide analysis of solutions to a one-dimensional Eyring-Powell fluid in ...

Asymptotic profiles for a wave equation with parameter‐dependent logarithmic damping [PDF]
We study a nonlocal wave equation with logarithmic damping, which is rather weak in the low‐frequency zone as compared with frequently studied strong damping case. We consider the Cauchy problem for this model in Rn, and we study the asymptotic profile and optimal estimates of the solutions and the total energy as t → ∞ in L2 sense.

Asymptotic profiles for the third grade fluids׳ equations [PDF]
We study the long time behaviour of the solutions of the third grade fluids equations in dimension 2. Introducing scaled variables and performing several energy estimates in weighted Sobolev spaces, we describe the first order of an asymptotic expansion of these solutions.

APD profiles and transfinite asymptotic dimension [PDF]
We develop the theory of APD profiles introduced by J. Dydak for $\infty$-pseudometric spaces. We connect them with transfinite asymptotic dimension defined by T. Radul. We give a characterization of spaces with transfinite asymptotic dimension at most $ω+n$ for $n\inω$ and a sufficient condition for a space to have transfinite asymptotic dimension at ...

Density profile asymptotes at the centre of dark matter halos [PDF]
For the spherical symmetric case, all quantities describing the relaxed dark matter halo can be expressed as functions of the gravitational potential $Φ$. Decomposing the radial velocity dispersion $σ_r$ with respect to $Φ$ at very large and very small radial distances the possible asymptotic behavior for the density and velocity profiles can be ...

Influence of grain shape on light penetration in snow [PDF]
The energy budget and the photochemistry of a snowpack depend greatly on the penetration of solar radiation in snow. Below the snow surface, spectral irradiance decreases exponentially with depth with a decay constant called the asymptotic flux ...

An approximate analytical solution to the axisymmetric heat conduction equation for a hollow cylinder made of functionally graded material with temperature-dependent heat conductivity is presented. General linear boundary conditions are considered.
