Asymptotic profiles for the Kirchhoff equation
The first aim of this paper is to find asymptotic profiles for Kirchhoff equation. More precisely, it will be shown that there exists a small amplitude solution which is not asymptotically free. The second aim is to prove the existence of scattering states for the small amplitude solutions with data belonging to

Asymptotic Growth of Whale Sharks Suggests Sex-Specific Life-History Strategies
Age and growth data are central to management or conservation strategies for any species. Circumstantial evidence suggests that male whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) grow to asymptotic sizes much smaller than those predicted by age and growth studies and ...

Considering the prevalence of asymptomatic individuals during the spread of disease, this article develops a model of degenerate reaction diffusion Cholera with asymptomatic individuals. First, the well-posedness of model is studied, including the global

Numerical investigation of algebraic oceanic turbulent mixing-layer models [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the finite-time and asymptotic behaviour of algebraic turbulent mixing-layer models by numerical simulation. We compare the performances given by three different settings of the eddy viscosity.

The Asymptotic Profile of Solutions of a Class of Singular Parabolic Equations [PDF]
We consider a class of singular parabolic problems with Dirichlet boundary conditions. We use the Rayleigh quotient and recent Harnack estimates to derive estimates from above and from below for the solution. Moreover we study the asymptotic behaviour when the solution is approaching the extinction time.

The asymptotic profile of solutions of a class of doubly nonlinear equations [PDF]
The authors study solutions of initial-boundary value problems for the doubly nonlinear equation \(u_ t= \text{div} (| u|^{m-1} | Du |^{p-1} Du)\) in a cylinder \(\Omega\times (0,T)\), where \(\Omega\) is a domain in \(\mathbb{R}^ N\) and the parameters \(p\) and \(m\) satisfy the inequalities \(p>1,2< m+p (m-3+ (4-m)p - p^ 2)N\).
