Value of Information of Improved Traceability in Fresh Produce Markets
ABSTRACT Traceability plays an important role in promoting a safe food supply by fostering transparent information exchange along the food supply chain. New technological innovations have the potential to improve traceability outcomes, as greater transparency along the food supply chain can aid in pinpointing precise origins of the contamination ...

Groups with finitely many conjugacy classes and their automorphisms
We combine classical methods of combinatorial group theory with the theory of small cancellation over relatively hyperbolic groups to construct finitely generated torsion-free groups that have only finitely many classes of conjugate elements.

The Rise of Ionized Gas Filaments in Early-Type Galaxies
Multiphase filamentary nebulae are ubiquitous in the brightest cluster galaxies (BCGs) of cool-core clusters, providing key insights into the cycle of baryons and the feeding and feedback of supermassive black holes. However, BCGs account for less than 1%

Machine learning driven many‐objective moving horizon scheduling optimization
Abstract Industrial electrification can decarbonize chemical manufacturing, but it exposes operations to volatile electricity prices and carbon intensities. This work develops a machine learning‐enhanced many‐objective moving horizon scheduling framework that predicts objective correlation groupings from 48‐hour price and emission‐intensity profiles ...

Algorithmic and asymptotic properties of groups
This is a survey of the recent work in algorithmic and asymptotic properties of groups. I discuss Dehn functions of groups, complexity of the word problem, Higman embeddings, and constructions of finitely presented groups with extreme properties ...

Asymptotic property C for certain wreath-like products of groups
In this paper, we present generalizations of some results on the asymptotic property C for wreath products. Specifically, we prove that certain wreath-like products admit asymptotic property C, thus providing some new examples for further study.

Robot‐Assisted Measurement of the Critical Micelle Concentration
The study introduces (SIMO) smart integrator for manual operations, a robotic platform for precise, repeatable determination of (CMC) critical micelle concentration in surfactants. SIMO reduces standard deviation by 80% compared to manual methods. Surfactant, dye, and diluent selection, robotic protocols, and data handling are detailed.

"On the Asymptotic Optimality of the LIML Estimator with Possibly Many Instruments" [PDF]
We consider the estimation of the coefficients of a linear structural equation in a simultaneous equation system when there are many instrumental variables.

Relatively hyperbolic groups are C*-simple [PDF]
We characterize relatively hyperbolic groups whose reduced C*-algebra is simple as those, which have no non-trivial finite normal ...
