Nonlinear permuted Granger causality
Abstract Granger causality is an established, contentious method that seeks causal temporal connections via association and precedence. While not true causal inference, it assists in mapping networks of information flow that may warrant further study.

On the asymptotic weight distribution of regular LDPC ensembles [PDF]
We estimate the variance of weight distribution of regular LDPC ensembles. Using this estimate and the second moment method we obtain bounds on the probability that a randomly chosen code from regular LDPC ensemble has its weight distribution close to the ensemble average.

Nonparametric maximum likelihood estimation of the survival function using current lifetime data
Abstract An issue when estimating the failure time survival function is how to set up a prevalent cohort study infrastructure to follow subjects after enrollment. This problem can be circumvented through the well‐known Grenander density estimator using current lifetime observations only.

Asymptotic regularity and fixed point theorems on a 2-Banach space [PDF]
The present paper deals with some fixed point theorems for a class of mixed type of contraction maps possessing the asymptotically regular property in a 2-Banach space.

Revisiting Fisher's n‐D statistical vision: From algebraic abstraction to modern visualization
Abstract We revisit early foundational results in mathematical statistics derived by Ronald A. Fisher. They involve sampling distributions of statistics calculated from independent and identically distributed Normal observations, namely the root mean square deviation; the mean absolute deviation, conditional on already knowing the value of the root ...

Conservation of asymptotic charges from past to future null infinity: Maxwell fields
On any asymptotically-flat spacetime, we show that the asymptotic symmetries and charges of Maxwell fields on past null infinity can be related to those on future null infinity as recently proposed by Strominger.

The asymptotic connectivity of labelled regular graphs
It is shown that almost all labelled r-regular graphs are r-connected, for any fixed r≥3. This is an instance of a more general result which applies to labelled locally restricted graphs whose points have degrees lying between r and R, where r and R are fixed, 3≤r≤R.

Stability of Viscous Three‐Dimensional Stratified Couette Flow via Dispersion and Mixing
ABSTRACT This article explores the stability of stratified Couette flow in the viscous 3d$3d$ Boussinesq equations. In this system, mixing effects arise from the shearing background, and gravity acts as a restoring force leading to dispersive internal gravity waves.

A Geometric Characterization of Steady Laminar Flow
ABSTRACT We study the steady states of the Euler equations on the periodic channel or annulus. We show that if these flows are laminar (layered by closed non‐contractible streamlines which foliate the domain), then they must be either parallel or circular flows.

This article concerns the oblique boundary value problem for elliptic semi-linear equations in a domain with a conical point on the boundary. We investigate the asymptotic behavior of strong solutions near a boundary conical point.
