Asymptotic grand unification in SO(10) with one extra dimension

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Asymptotic grand unification provides an alternative approach to gradually unify gauge couplings in the UV limit, where they reach a non-trivial UV fixed point.

Limit Model for the Reliability of a Regular and Homogeneous Series-Parallel System

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2009
In large-scale systems the study of the exact reliability function can be an intricate problem. In these cases it is better to admit that the number of system components goes to infinity so as to find asymptotic models that give a good interpretation of

Expanding solitons with non-negative curvature operator coming out of cones

open access: yes, 2012
We consider Ricci flow of complete Riemannian manifolds which have bounded non-negative curvature operator, non-zero asymptotic volume ratio and no boundary. We prove scale invariant estimates for these solutions.

Scaling and asymptotic scaling in the SU(2) gauge theory [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1993
We determine the critical couplings for the deconfinement phase transition in $SU(2)$ gauge theory on $N_ \times N_ ^3$ lattices with $N_ = 8$ and 16 and $N_ $ varying between 16 and 48. A comparison with string tension data shows scaling of the ratio $T_c / \sqrt $ in the entire coupling regime $ =2.30-2.75$, while the individual quantities ...

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Zero-order Approximation of Three-time Scale Singular Linear-quadratic Optimal Control Problem

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2015
This paper is devoted to the construction of a zero-order approximation of the solution of a three-time scale singular perturbed linear-quadratic optimal control problem with the help of the direct scheme method.

Weak-inertial flow between two rough surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
“Oseen–Poiseuille” equations are developed from an asymptotic formulation of the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations in order to study the influence of weak inertia on flows between rough surfaces.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
