Stability of a linear oscillator with variable parameters

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1997
A criterion of asymptotic stability for a linear oscillator with variable parameters is obtained. It is shown that this criterion is close to a necessary and sufficient conditions of asymptotic stability.

Asymptotic stability for sets of polynomials.

open access: yes, 2005
The authors prove the conjecture concerning the asymptotic stability of a class of analytic functions at \(z=0\) posed by the first author in [Combinatorica 17, 523--554 (1997; Zbl 0906.05002)]. This conjecture is proved as a consequence of some more general statement. Recall that a set \(\mathfrak {F}\) of complex functions analytic at \(z=0\) is said

Resonant Tunneling in Laser‐Dressed Double‐Barrier Nanostructures: Role of Potential Geometry

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
A schematic illustration of laser‐dressed double‐barrier nanostructures with rectangular, parabolic, and triangular potential profiles is presented. The intense laser field modifies the effective confinement potential, leading to a shift in resonance energies.

Pointwise Asymptotic Stability

open access: yes, 2018
The talk presents some concepts and results from systems and control theory, focusing on convergence to and stability of a continuum of equilibria in a dynamical system.

Innovation Pathways to Carbon Efficiency: Disentangling the Effects of AI, R&D, and Clean Energy Blessings on U.S. Environmental Sustainability

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The United States (U.S.) faces challenges in achieving its ambitious net‐zero carbon emissions target by 2050, with current emissions having fallen by less than 1% in 2024. Despite an investment of $500 billion in low‐carbon resources while holding the second‐largest green technology patent portfolio globally, it is further imperative to ...

Carbon Footprint of Bank Loans: Opportunities and Risk Implications in the Banking Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines whether the carbon footprint of bank loan portfolios influences bank stability, profitability and cost efficiency and whether regulatory quality moderates these relationships. Using a balanced panel of 33 countries from 2005 to 2018, the analysis combines banking‐sector indicators from the World Bank Global Financial ...

Histopathologic Analysis of the Morpho‐Functional Zones of the Human Acetabular Labrum

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The structural and functional adaptation of soft tissues to mechanical load controls their ability to withstand injury and influences their capacity for healing. Similar to the knee meniscus, the acetabular labrum exhibits zonal differences in mechanical load distribution, resulting in distinct regions with unique structural and functional ...

Asymptotic stability for a nonlinear evolution equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
summary:We establish the asymptotic stability of solutions of the mixed problem for the nonlinear evolution equation $(|u_t|^{r-2}u_t)_t-\Delta u_{tt}-\Delta u-\delta\Delta u_t=f(u)$

The Future of Foundation Machine Learning Potentials and DFT in Homogeneous Catalysis: Competition or Synergy?

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning potentials are increasingly taking on the exploratory tasks of homogeneous catalysis, enabling rapid conformer sampling and reaction‐space mapping. However, when selectivity depends on subtle electronic effects, electronic‐structure methods remain essential.

Structure and stability of flames with two sequential reactions

open access: yes, 1985
An asymptotic analysis is presented for the structure of steady planar flames, and for their response to nonplanar perturbations, when the reaction mechanism can be modelled by two sequential reactions with the same large value of activation energies ...
