Improved Cryptoanalysis of the Self-shrinking p-adic Cryptographic Generator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The Self-shrinking p-adic cryptographic generator (SSPCG) is a fast software stream cipher. Improved cryptoanalysis of the SSPCG is introduced. This cryptoanalysis makes more precise the length of the period of the generator.

The Interplay of Curvature, Geometry, and Topology Shapes Tissue Organisation in Epithelial Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Purely geometric 3D Voronoi models predict the organisation of epithelial shells. The interplay of curvature, geometry, and topology enriches the number of pentagons in shells with lower number of cells. Small MDCK cysts and Mouse embryos match the top polygonal configurations in a compactness‐based ranking derived from the Voronoi model. In conclusion,

Investigation of asynchronous generator application to power oscillation damping. [PDF]

open access: yes
The final master's thesis is dedicated to investigating the capabilities of an asynchronous generator to damp active power oscillations arising in the electrical power system. In the first part of the study, a literature review is conducted, in which the

Probabilistic Computing via Gate‐Tunable Random Telegraph Noise

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intrinsic random telegraph noise in metal–oxide–semiconductor field‐effect transistors is harnessed to create gate‐tunable probabilistic bits. By modulating carrier‐trapping dynamics, the device produces stochastic binary outputs with a continuous bias‐to‐probability transfer.

Solution‐Processed Multi‐Junction Optoelectronic Synapses for Mode‐Switchable SWIR Neuromorphic Vision Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel bias‐programmable shortwave infrared (SWIR) vision sensor is developed using multi‐junction colloidal quantum dots (QDs). Under varying applied voltage, the back‐to‐back rectifying junctions effectively tune trapping centers to switch the device between high‐speed photodetector and persistent synapse modes.

Spontaneous Cyclic Levitation of Glycerol‐Water Droplets at Low Pressures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under low pressure, a minute glycerol addition transforms the chaotic dynamics of freezing water droplets into cyclic levitation. Freeze‐concentration preserves liquid pathways that relax expansion‐induced stress, while freezing point depression weakens asymmetric vaporization recoil.

Depth‐to‐Areal Staging Heterogeneity Preceding Lithium Plating in Graphite Anodes Revealed by Operando Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fast charging drives graphite anodes far from equilibrium, yet where lithium plating begins has remained hidden. Operando optical microscopy here reveals that neighboring regions advance through the staging sequence asynchronously, and that domains reaching advanced lithiation earliest become the preferential sites where plating initiates.
