Adaptive Schemes to Recognize an Asynchronously Generated Signal

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1979
Decision and estimation algorithms for a signal of asynchronous generation are treated with emphasis on waveform estimation. A simplified model for source statistics is assumed. Starting with a supervised learning model, two algorithms of the non-supervised type are derived. Their estimation error performance is studied by computer simulation.

This paper investigates the three phase squirrel cage asynchronous machine in the autonomous (isolated) generator regime. Both transient and steady state performances with load and an excitation capacitor bank are presented. In order to perform this, a Matlab/Simulink model of the generator was done.
