To the process of asynchronous generators excitement

open access: yes, 2015

Synchronous and asynchronous generators frequency and harmonics behavior after a sudden load rejection

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2003
This paper describes load rejection tests, done at two hydro power plants in Sweden, one equipped with synchronous and the other with asynchronous generators.

Three generations of asynchronous microprocessors

IEEE Design & Test of Computers, 2003
We trace the evolution of Caltech asynchronous processors from a simple proof of concept, to a high-performance MIPS-like processor using a different buffer circuit for better performance, to the latest 8051 clone targeting low-energy operation. We describe the control aspects of the evolving circuit styles.

A General Framework for Asynchronous Communication

IEEE Communications Letters, 2017
We study a problem of sequential frame detection in an asynchronous framework, where a single frame of length $N$ slots is transmitted uniformly in a large interval of known size $A$ slots. In this setup, we seek to characterize the scaling needed of $N$ and the channel (input) parameters for asynchronous optimal frame synchronization.

Independent voltage and frequency controller for a parallel operated isolated three‐phase asynchronous generators

open access: yesEuropean Transactions on Electrical Power, 2009
This paper presents a voltage and frequency controller (VFC) for parallel operated isolated asynchronous generators (IAGs) in pico and micro hydro systems feeding 3-phase 4-wire loads. The proposed VF controller regulates the system voltage and frequency

Generalized asynchronous iterations

1986
Asynchronous iterative methods for multiprocessors are generalized to relaxation techniques involving discrete variables. Asynchronous algorithms are more efficient than synchronized algorithms in multiprocessors because processes do not have to wait on each other at synchronization points.

General testers for asynchronous circuits

10th International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems, 2004. Proceedings., 2004
We consider the problem of testing asynchronous systems in a way that maximizes the options for test implementation and application. We prove that all testers that distinguish between healthy and faulty versions of the device under test refine a most general tester (MGT) derived from specifications of the device under test, the fault models, and the ...

Adaptive Schemes to Recognize an Asynchronously Generated Signal

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1979
Decision and estimation algorithms for a signal of asynchronous generation are treated with emphasis on waveform estimation. A simplified model for source statistics is assumed. Starting with a supervised learning model, two algorithms of the non-supervised type are derived. Their estimation error performance is studied by computer simulation.

Asynchronous tone generator

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1980
In an electronic organ of the time-sharing type, a single clock source drives a number of variable divisor frequency dividers which are assigned different divisor values to produce different musical tones at different times. In order to prevent phase synchronism between two simultaneously operating dividers, and thus achieve a rolling phase ...

Generation of Design Equations in Asynchronous Sequential Circuits

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1969
One step in the synthesis procedure for realizing an asynchronous sequential switching circuit is the generation of next-state and output state equations from a simplified and coded flow table description of the circuit. The usual approach for determining these equations is to first construct a state table from the coded flow table, and then construct ...
