Clinical and Angiographic Predictors of No‐Reflow and Its Impact on Outcomes in ST‐Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Retrospective Study

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 6, June 2026.
In 2925 STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI, no‐reflow occurred in 18% and was predicted by age, diabetes, Killip class, thrombus burden, TIMI 0 flow, and delayed presentation. No reflow was associated with higher mortality, complications, and MACE.

Comparison of triglyceride-glucose index and atherogenic index of plasma in euthyroid Hashimoto’s thyroiditis patients and healthy controls

open access: yesBMC Endocrine Disorders
Aim The relationship between insulin resistance and atherosclerosis in euthyroid Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) remains unclear. This study aimed to compare the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) and triglyceride–glucose (TyG) index between patients with ...

Association of the TyG Index, Cardiometabolic Index, and Epicardial Adipose Tissue With Coronary Artery Disease

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study demonstrates that the TyG index, CMI, and EATi are independently associated with CAD. CMI partially mediates the relationship between TyG and CAD, whereas EATi contributes through an independent pathway. These findings suggest that integrating metabolic and adiposity‐related markers may improve cardiovascular risk assessment.

Dyslipidemia and atherogenic indexes in children with transfusion-dependent thalassemia

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
Objective: This study endeavored to assess the lipid profile and atherogenic lipid indexes in children with transfusion-dependent thalassemia (TDT) and to compare them with matched healthy children.

Causal Effects of Hydrophilic Bile Acids on Carfilzomib‐Related Cardiovascular Events in Multiple Myeloma: A Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 119, Issue 6, Page 1494-1502, June 2026.
Carfilzomib is highly effective in the treatment of multiple myeloma, but it has been associated with cardiovascular adverse events that impact patient outcomes. Our prior global metabolomic analyses indicated an association between hydrophilic bile acids and carfilzomib‐cardiotoxicity risk, although a causal relationship remained to be determined ...

Low Plasma Atherogenic Index Associated with Poor Prognosis in Hospitalized Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesActa Medica Indonesiana, 2016
Aim: the impact of atherogenic index of plasma (AIP), calculated as logarithmic of triglyceride:HDL ratio (log10.[TG:HDL]), on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) during acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has not been fully accepted.

AIP, fatty liver, and HbA1c as modifiers of the C-index and diabetes risk relationship

open access: yesLipids in Health and Disease
Background and aims Recent studies have suggested an interplay between conicity index (C-index)-related diabetes risk and lipid burden. It is plausible that the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP), fatty liver, and HbA1c mediate the association between C ...

Joint associations of atherogenic index of plasma and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein on stroke: a large-scale prospective cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases
Backgroud: Although both the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) are recognized as risk markers for stroke, their combined effect has yet to be fully understood.

Synthesized flavone attenuates diabetes‐induced neurodegeneration through regulation of oxidative stress and metabolic‐neurodegenerative molecular pathways

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 259-272, Summer 2026.
Neuroprotective efficacy of flavone (2‐phenyl‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one). The study aimed to explore the potential of a synthetic derivative (flavone) of a phytocompound, which is involved in neuroprotection activities. Experimental strategies included the characteristics of compound, in‐silico analysis, and in vivo assessments.
