Trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene in Atlantic waters [PDF]
Measurements of trichloroethylene (C2HCl3) and tetrachloroethylene (C2Cl4) in waters of the North Atlantic are reported. They show that at the times of sampling both gases are supersaturated in the surface ocean and that there are therefore fluxes of each into the atmosphere.

KALMAR - „Kurile-Kamchatka and Aleutean Marginal Sea-Island Arc Systems: Geodynamic and Climate Interaction in Space and Time” – an integrated science approach between Russia and Germany [PDF]
EGU2010-2934 The exploration of the arctic seas require an integrated approach applying different infrastructures. In Fall 2009 German and Russian scientists performed a geo marine cruise off Kamchatka and in the western Bering Sea within the frame of ...

Circulation is important to distributions of salt, of deep-ocean heat and hence regional climate, of pollutants and of many species carried by the flow during their lifecycle. Currents affect offshore operations and habitats. Five sections from 1957 to

Neoglacial cooling culminates in rapid sea ice oscillations in eastern Fram Strait [PDF]
EGU2011-407 The spatial and temporal distribution of sea ice in the subpolar North Atlantic is mainly controlled by the advection of warm Atlantic Water via the Norwegian and West Spitsbergen Current in eastern Fram Strait.
