Upward atlantoaxial dislocation in rheumatoid arthritis

Neuroradiology, 1974
Four cases of rheumatoid arthritis with osteoarticular lesions in the cervicooccipital region are reported. Changes in the connections of the odontoid process with the base of the skull are the consequence of important articular changes of destructive type involving the occipitocervical and C1–2 interspaces.
